As stated in their "Short History", the Club provides "disquisitions on subjects historical, literary, theatrical, classical, legal, practical, economic, nautical, artistic, medical, scientific, bibliographical, musical, sociological, poetical, academic, ornithological, journalistic, and architectural, among others".
