Biographical/Historical Note

Born on December 22, 1839, in Warren, Rhode Island, Hezekiah Butterworth was an American poet and author. He was an editor for The Youth’s Companion, a literary children’s magazine based in Boston, Massachusetts. Butterworth died in Warren, Rhode Island on September 5, 1905.
