Dr. Lester Carr, PhD served as Vice President for Academic Affairs from 1970-1971. Dr. Carr obtained his Master’s Degree in Psychology from the New School and later obtained a PhD from Vanderbilt University. Prior to serving as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Carr served as Chairman of the Psychology Department. While holding this position, Dr. Carr worked with the State Department of Education and the local public school systems in identifying potential funding support for educational programs and services. In 1970, Dr. Carr became Vice President of Academic Affairs, and worked heavily with departmental chairmen in assisting with departmental issues and advocating for improvements at Salve Regina University. In 1971, Dr. Carr resigned as Vice President for Academic Affairs and obtained a postion as the President for Lewis College in Lockport, IL.
