Biographical Note
Everett Howard Hunt (1918-2007), was graduated from Brown University in 1940. Following graduation, Hunt was commissioned in the US Naval Reserve and served as gunnery officer of a destroyer. He then volunteered for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in China. He joined the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 1949 and was involved with numerous Cold War hot spots until his retirement in 1970, when he joined the Nixon administration as a consultant. His involvement in the Watergate scandal resulted in a 33-month sentence. Hunt wrote throughout his life, publishing some 80 spy novels and thrillers, the majority of which were published under various pseudonyms.
