Historical note

Created, edited, and managed by Canadian born, Virginia Scott, Sunbury Press was based in Bronx, New York, from 1974 to 1988. She published the poetic works of women poets, blue-collar poets, minority poets, and others who were not given adequate voice elsewhere (Ms. Magazine, April 1979) For ten years the press also published collections of poems under the title Sunbury: A Poetry Magazine.
