Biographical/Historical note

This collection is an extension of the Harris Collection of American Poetry and Plays which is composed of approximately 250,00 volumes of American and Canadian poetry, plays, and vocal music dating from 1609 to the present day. The collection contains works of many well-known and little-known American and Canadian poets and playwrights, from the 18th to the present day.

The ephemera found in this collection was collected by former Harris Collection Curator Rosemary Cullen over a period of about 40 years, and details over 3,100 different publishers and press companies.
