Organized in 1979 in Rhode Island by several members of the Rhode Island chapter of American Friends Services Committee and Rhode Island Mobilization for Survival with the joint goals of educating themselves and others in the effort to free the world of nuclear threat and to strengthen the influence of women in society. Has participated in peace efforts both nationally as well as in Rhode Island. |
