Scope & content

This collection consists of one album and two scrapbooks compiled by Sarah Leach. The album is a "character book," probably dating from after 1910, wherein her friends recorded such items as favorite college, ideal woman, favorite color, etc. The scrapbooks contain clippings about the Sol-e-Mar volunteers and benefactors from 1936 through 1951. One scrapbook consists almost entirely of loose clippings and also includes a program and invitation to a school play. These volumes do not provide information about Sarah Leach. Her autograph book is at the Rhode Island Historical Society.
