The Search for Equity: Women at Brown University, 1891-1991, Records contain promotional and source material for the collection of essays by the same name which was published during the centennial year of women's education at Brown University. These records include correspondence, clippings, surveys filled out by alumnae and women volunteers, Karen Lamoree's research material on alumnae and other women volunteers, and drafts of articles. The material dates from 1987 to 1992.
The collection is arranged in two series. Series I, Correspondence, Promotional and Administrative Material, contains records kept by Barbara Anton, Director of Alumnae Affairs at Pembroke College, and records kept by Karen Lamoree, Christine Dunlap Farnham Archivist at the time of the centennial.
Series II, Alumnae Surveys, contains completed surveys returned by graduates from the Classes of 1930 through 1985 (quinquennial classes only). Use of these surveys is restricted; see the folder Scope and Contents note for guidelines.
