Series IV. Fine Arts Division and Painting Department Materials
Materials in this series document Peers' activities as head of the Painting Department, as Acting Chairman of the Division of Fine Arts, and as Chairman of the Division of Fine Arts, 1955-1972.

Series V. Writings, notes, and lectures
Materials in this series include syllabi and notes for class lectures date that mainly from the 1940s and 1950s, with additional essays on art and philosophy dating from the 1970s and 1980s.

Series VI. Florence Leif and Gordon Peers Scholarship materials
Correspondence, news clippings and legal documents documenting the relationships with various administrators at RISD and the Portland Museum of Art

Series VII. Arts shows and sales
Records of art shows and sales for Peers and Leif are grouped with catalogs for other shows, including "ISMs in Art Since 1800", a 1949 RISD Museum of Art show.

Series VIII. John Frazier materials
Materials include writings by RISD instructor and president John R. Frazier, frequently annotated by Peers, as well as a brief biography of Frazier written by Peers.

Series IX. Calendars and journals
Materials in this series include meticulous notes documenting Peers' daily activities, three journals written by Peers' wife, Florence Leif, documenting their travels together between 1952 and 1962, and four of Peers' passports issued between 1961 and 1979. Also included is Peers' address book.

Series X. Artifacts
Artifacts include swimming medals, two palettes, the Hallett family Bible, and a watercolor design for a stained glass window, annotated on the reverse. Four large format portrait photographs by Dwight Burnham are also included in this series.

Series XI. Slides and photographs
Materials in this series include slides, many of which have detailed descriptive information written on the frames. Most slides document travel, including images of the 1961-1962 European Honor Program in Rome.
