Scope & content
The collection contains correspondence, memoranda, checklists, loan and sales receipts, photographs, and insurance forms for the Art for Your Collection exhibition held annually, 1962-1991. The Loan records document the works of art lent to the Museum of art for exhibit and sale. The loan receipts and checklists include names of lenders, works of art, price, and may indicate if purchased. The correspondence and memoranda document the activities of the Museum staff and their contacts with lenders and purchasers. Receipts document the sale of works of art to the public during the exhibition. Loan records may be filed alphabetically by lender.
The Invoice and Sales receipts, 1969-1991, document the sale of works of art. Each receipt include the names of buyers and sellers, a description of the art work, and the price. See the Loan records series for additional sales information.
There are nineteen 5.25 inch computer disks of unknown quality containing files for the 1990 and 1991 exhibitions.
