Community Art Project records (SP 1.0)

The records document the activities of the Community Art Project, a joint venture of Brown University and RISD. The Institute of Art records include transcripts, pamphlets, and brochures. The transcripts provide a detailed record of introductions and speeches, including question and answer periods, given by participants. The Calendar of Art Events includes informational essays about art in general and Rhode Island artists. Published monthly/bimonthly, the publication lists art exhibits, lectures, and concerts occurring throughout Rhode Island. Also included are brochures for the Wednesday Evening Talks, 1940-1941 and 1942-1943, and Music Recital Programs, 1933-1935. The Calendar was replaced by the RISD Museum of Art's Calendar for the Arts, 1943-1954.
