Biographical/Historical Note

Olive Whitman Parsons was a resident of Hunter-Tannersville, Greene County, New York and was vice president in charge of correspondence for the American Coalition of Patriotic Societies, Inc. In 1965, Parsons represented the American Coalition in a judiciary hearing on immigration resolutions.

The American Coalition, organized by John B. Trevor Sr. in 1929, was a voluntary association made up of about one hundred civic, fraternal, and patriotic societies of men and women with an aim to “watch over” and defend all matters concerning the preservation of the United States Constitution and American way of life. The Coalition likely absorbed into the American Security Council in 1978.
