The collection consists of Dr. John J. Wilkinson’s collected research and documents regarding the expansion of vocational-technical public education in Rhode Island school districts, including reports, publications, pamphlets, and clippings. Most of the documents pertain to the first vocational-technical schools established in Rhode Island in the twentieth century.

Acquisition:	The collection was given to Adams Library Special Collections in 1978 by John Wilkinson.
Processing information:	An inventory to the collection was initially created in 2009 by Special Collections staff.
