The collection contains letters dated between 1843 to 1928, a majority of which were sent to Dora Hazard. Subjects of the letters include the British suffragette movement, Ouija boards and planchettes, as well as New York voting fraud and incompetence or dishonesty of the election officials. The collection also includes a thank-you note from Nicholas Murray Butler to Dora Hazard thanking her for the gift of Fanny Kemble’s journal to the Columbia University Library.
