Cape Verdean subject files (MSS-0077)

This collection contains various materials relating to Cape Verde and Cape Verdean Americans. Within are documents provided by various sources with information about Cape Verde, as well as the lives and contributions of many Cape Verdean Americans and Cape Verdean American organizations. Subjects within the collection include musicians and musical groups, community groups and individuals within the Cape Verdean American community, ambassadors, and Cape Verdean political figures. Also included within the collection is information about the Ernestina, a packet ship known for transporting migrants from Cape Verde, and the American Folklife Festival.
