Scope & content
The collection contains a map of Providence Plantations in the 1600’s. Compiled by C.S. Brigham and drawn by an entity referred to as T.M.P., the map was published in 1903 and gives a glimpse of the early structure of Providence. Landmarks featured on the map include rivers, ponds, hills, swamps, and plains. The map also displays division lines demonstrating the borders and their changes.
