Association of Clerical and Technical Workers, National Education Association (ACT/NEA) Oral History Project (Mss. Gr.65)

This collection of oral histories and other materials was collected during the fall of 1977 by Gail Holman, Jeff Meade, and Gay Teborek. The focus is on the establishment at the University of Rhode Island of an Association of Clerical and Technical Workers, National Education Association (ACT/NEA), during the years 1974-1977. Included in the collection is a 1980 article from Radical America Magazine entitled "Now, What's the Matter with You Girls? Clerical Workers Organize" by Gail G. Sansbury that describes the formation of the union at URI.
