Mill Life Oral History Collection (Mss. Gr. 81)

The Collection consists of recorded interviews, transcripts, signed release forms, and biographical sketches of 172 individuals who worked in the textile mills of Rhode Island between approximately 1890 and 1950.

A total of 174 interviews were completed with 172 separate individuals between 1970 and 1977. Two people, Elliot Broadbent and Arthur Darman, were each interviewed on two separate occasions two years apart.
