Series 1. Subject Files
These are the records pertaining to the relocation of the University of Rhode Island College of Continuing Education (URI-CCE) compiled by Dean Walter A. Crocker (Dean, College of Continuing Education from 1984 -2000). In 1999 the College was renamed the Feinstein College of Continuing Education These records chronicle the negotiations, planning, publicity, and move from the Barnard School building to the Shepard's Department Store building in January 1996. The records were transferred to the Archives by Dean Walter A. Crocker on December 5, 2000.

The types of materials include minutes of meetings, copies of reports, memoranda and correspondence, news releases and clippings. Most of the clippings are copies of original articles, some are original.

The records are arranged alphabetically in a Subject File and chronologically within each folder. Expanded folder titles were used when acronyms or abbreviations were used in the original folder titles. Most of the records were in five metal ring binders and have been removed and placed in folders. The rest of the records were in labeled folders. The records are in good condition.
