The Green Animals Collection (PSNCA.H.009)

The Green Animals Collection is comprised of photographs, ephemera, correspondence, publications and writings in various formats. The objects date from 1870-1990, and formats include photographic prints, journals, paper correspondence, postcards and other forms of ephemeral objects. The photographs depict the exterior and the interior of the estate, in particular the well-known topiary gardens, over the course of its lifetime. Further, images of the Brayton and Marvell families, as well as their friends and guests of the estate, offer a glimpse of several generations enjoying Green Animals.
