Maryland Shipbuilding and Drydock Company Collection (1984.02)

The bulk of this collection is photographic material, including over 3,500 loose photos organized alphabetically by ship name, which document ships built, repaired, and/or launched by the Maryland Shipbuilding and Drydock Company. More than half of the images are 8x10 black and white prints. Business correspondence between the president and employee are accompanied with "A Brief History of Maryland Shipbuilding and Drydock Company" written in early 1960s. Company produced marketing material includes 25 spiral bound photo albums, commissioning programs, a "guide" book with instructions and plans for repairing and converting vessels, and four 4x6 spiral bound photo albums and ship launches.
