Abstract:
Papers of Peggy Kamuf (b. 1947), Marion Frances Chevalier Professor in the Department of French and Italian at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. The collection documents Kamuf's professional career and scholarship in comparative literature and literary theory. Items include drafts of published articles, lectures, and books such as The Division of Literature, or the University in Deconstruction (1997), Book of Addresses (2009), and To Follow: The Wake of Jacques Derrida (2010). Kamuf is not only a leading translator of Hélène Cixous, Jean-Luc Nancy, and Derrida's works, but she also studies, and writes and lectures about, Rousseau, Woolf, Baudelaire, and Stendhal.

Abstract:
The Keddy papers contain correspondence, research notes on index cards, brochures, museum handbooks, photocopies of entire chapters from books being used for research, maps and other illustrations along with extensive drafts of a proposed 1000 plus page biography of Samuel de Champlain. Other material includes personal correspondence on topics as diverse as feminism, safe drinking water and theology, professional correspondence in Jane Keddy's capacity as the editor/owner of Parameter Press and a folder of correspondence with potential publishers of the Champlain manuscript.

John R. Kellam was a Quaker and an American prisoner of conscience in World War Two. He later devoted his life fighting against discrimination in general and in particular housing discrimination against minorities.
