The heart of this collection is a series of oral history interviews conducted in 1972 and 1973. All but two of these interviews, which covers every phase of his public life, have been roughly transcribed. Of particular value are Quinn's comments on the 1935 "Bloodless Revolution" and on the local political arena of Rhode Island up to World War II.
