Abstract:
The Mary Ann Sorrentino papers about her excommunication from the Catholic Church consist of correspondence, clippings, and other materials. These papers relate to the practice of abortion, the authority of the Catholic Church over its members, and general discussion of religion and morality with respect to abortion. The correspondence with Sorrentino (who was Executive Director of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island from 1977 to 1987) includes responses from proponents of both the pro-choice and pro-life movements, Catholics, non-Catholics, public officials, and others. The collection also includes an oral history interview of Sorrentino recorded in 2012 and a Master of Arts in History thesis written by Rhonda J. Chadwick about Sorrentino's experiences.

Abstract:
This collection consists of the professional papers of Rosemary Pierrel Sorrentino, professor of psychology at Brown University and Dean of Pembroke College, the women's college in Brown University, from 1961 until the women's and men's colleges merged in 1971. Sorrentino is also a Brown University alumna who earned her Ph.D. in psychology there in 1953. This collection includes correspondence related to her Brown professorship and Pembroke deanship, reports related to Pembroke College, and typed drafts of speeches given in her role as dean. Materials date from 1940 – 1985 and are arranged into 1 series alphabetically by record type.

Abstract:
The documents in this collection where created by or relate to neo-fascist organizations in Spain just prior to and after the death of Generalissimo Francisco Franco. The organizations include: Accion Social Corporativa Española (ASCE), Alianza Nacional, Frente Nacional, Fuerza Nueva, Fuerza Nacional del Trabajo, Falangistas Espanolas de las JONS, Union Nacional and many others. It is comprised of approximately 175+ photographs, most color, 55 in large format (17.5 x 23.5 cm), the rest approximately 10 x 15 cm, some with captions on the verso identifying places and dates; 150+ documents includes serials, pamphlets, small flyers, broadsides, posters, correspondence, and 20 pieces of foreigh ephemera (France, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, United States of America).
